Bad 25MCX antenna

I had purchaced a Garmin Nuvi 660 and the GA 25MCX antenna. The first day I used it, the antenna worked great, but when unpluging the MCX pin, it broke off in the GPS unit. Now I have to send it back to Garmin for a replacement. The representitives at Garmin were helpful, but I will be without my GPS for a while until they fix or replace it. Has anyone had the same problem with the MCX connector on the remote antenna?

I love the external antenna, but my connector has broken, too. So now, I am afraid to dismount my GPS, lest the wire break completely! Meanwhile -- it's still working, but for how long?
